First consultation

The first step is to contact an agent at Welcome Home Group, whether by email or phone call. We’re dedicated to being available to our clients, so if by some chance we don’t pick up the phone, you can be sure we’ll call you back within 24 hours.

During that first conversation, we’ll get to know your needs. We’ll discuss what geographical area you’re interested in, and what kind of house you’re looking for in terms of size, price range, etc. If you have a particular home in mind, we’ll arrange to go see it that same day!

We’ll set up a personalized electronic search of the Spartanburg or Greenville real estate database, so that as soon as a home that meets your specifications goes on the market, you’ll be the first to know.

Finding a lender

If you don’t already have a lender in mind, we’ll recommend one for you. The lenders our real estate agents recommend are professionals that we know and trust. We’re confident they’ll give you the same level of customer care that you expect from us. Our goal is to get you pre-approved for a loan as soon as possible so nothing stands between you and putting an offer on your dream home.

Touring homes

Once you know of homes that meets your criteria—whether it’s through our database search or it’s something you’ve already had your eye on—your REALTOR® will arrange a time to meet with you on site. We’ll tour all homes with you, giving you our expert opinions and helping you decide which one to put an offer on.

Putting down an offer

When you find a home that’s right for you, we’ll walk you through the offering stage step-by-step. We’ll help you determine the right amount to offer, and we’ll handle the negotiation side of things on your behalf. We know this can be a time-sensitive process, and so you can be assured your agent will re-arrange his or her personal schedule if needed to be fully available!

Post-offer steps

If your offer is accepted, we’ll celebrate with you—then walk you step-by-step through the next stages, including the appraisal, inspection, repairs, and even the meeting with your lender to secure your loan. Your REALTOR® will continue to give you expert advice as needed so you can make the best decisions with your time and resources, and will continue to negotiate on your behalf when needed, all the way up to final closing.
